A group rests on the people who form it. In Domo each member has a clear role within the group.
The roles within a group
- Leader — the group's leader (in a discipleship it's called the "discipler"). They're the one who can take attendance and manage the group.
- Co-leader — a supporting leader. This option may be turned on or not, depending on your church's settings.
- Member — the rest of the people who take part.
The leader and co-leader get permission to manage their group and take its attendance, even if they're not part of the pastoral staff. It's how Domo delegates care to your leaders.
Add members
You can add people when creating the group or when editing it:
- Open the group and go to edit it.
- In the members field, search for the person by name ("Search and add members…").
- Click them to add them. They'll appear in the group's list.
- Click Save.
Removing someone is just as simple: you remove them from the list and save.
Only people already registered appear in the directory. If the one you're looking for isn't there, add them first from the Directory.
